The Thesis
In 1814, Laplace imagined that if an intelligence could know the full state of the universe at once, it could calculate everything that would follow. Asimov's psychohistory extended the same idea to civilization itself. With a sufficiently complete model of human behavior, history could become a form of mathematics.
The question today is how much of the gap can be closed, and what closing it is worth. In every domain where consequential decisions are made, the actor with the more complete picture will ultimately win.
Most decisions are made nowhere near the complete picture. Not because the information is missing, but because no system exists to turn scattered information into understanding when it matters - to continuously ingest, learn, and reconcile data, even while the people pause. Outcomes are often decided in the space between what is known and what could be known.
That is the problem worth solving. The future is not unknowable. It's simply under-observed.
